The Elves at Gardner Village

I took Katelyn and Ryan to Gardner Village to see the Elves. They are sitting under some mistletoe.
It was hard to get a picture of both of them. Every time I would move back to take the picture, Ryan was on the move.
Katelyn is standing by Santa's Naughty and Nice list. Was she naughty or nice this year? Hmm...I might have to think about that one.
Ryan is headed off again.
Katelyn is trying to mail a letter to Santa.

Cute kids sitting with an elf.

Thanksgiving

We decided at the last minute to go to Oregon for Thanksgiving. We had a great time and it was well worth the trip. This is Katelyn playing with her cousin Halle.
My brother Erick gave Katelyn and Halle horsey rides. They loved it.
Halle is holding her new brother Austin. They are both so cute.
We went to Clackamas Town Center to see Santa. Katelyn was so excited to talk to Santa. Ryan was unsure of the whole thing and started to cry.
Ryan is riding the adorable fire engine at Grandma and Grandpa Hayball's. He enjoyed riding in it so much that he left his mark...he chewed on the foam and left teeth marks. Oops, sorry!
Adam took Katelyn for a ride on the go cart. They got muddy as you can see.
Here is a close up of Katelyn after the ride. She loved every minute of it. Look at the dirty face. It was worth the mess.
Adam took Ryan on a slow ride around on the go cart.
Katelyn and Ryan love Max. Max just licked Katelyn's face and she is wiping it off.
Katelyn stood at the door to the garage and talked to Max. She loves him. Ryan loves him, too. I have never seen him so excited. He goes crazy and barks.

Thank you to all our family for a memorable Thanksgiving!!

Cute Ryan

Ryan is becoming more independent. He now wants to feed himself all the time. It makes a mess, but he is doing well.
Ryan adores dogs!! He says "dog" and barks. He likes to play with Katelyn's stuffed dog Scruffy.
I caught Ryan reading books. He took most the books out of the basket, sat down, and looked at books. He loves books.
This is the helicopter that Ryan got for his birthday from Grammy and Grandpa. He plays with it everyday. Thanks Grammy!

Snow

We wanted to go do something fun with the kids. We decided to take a drive to one of the ski resorts to play in the snow. Katelyn has her cast off her arm now and wanted to play in the snow. Adam and Ryan are just hanging out. Ryan was so bundled up, he didn't know what to do.
Katelyn was so excited to play in the snow. She said that it is so beautiful and sparkly.
All bundled up in the snow, ready to play.
Adam and the kids. They are so cute!! About a minute after we took this picture, we heard some crackling. A tree fell down right where we were. What are the odds.
Katelyn built a tiny snowman. She was so proud of herself for making on all by herself. We had fun having a snowball fight, too. Adam won, of course. I ended up with snow down my shirt, thanks to Adam. Brrr!

Ryan's 1st Birthday

Ryan turned 1 years old on November 7th. This is Ryan's Birthday cake. We had a ball theme for his first birthday.

Here is a side shot of his cake. I enjoyed making it.
Ryan is blowing out his candle, or should I say Katelyn. She helped. Ryan looked at everyone as we sang Happy Birthday to him.
He is about ready to dig in to his cup cake.
"Mmm, num"
Time for the mess. He even smeared the cake on his legs.
Ryan is opening his presents. He got a Tigger stuffed animal. He loves it. He carries it around and hugs it.
He enjoyed opening his presents with the help of all his cousins.
He got a drum filled with musical instruments. He plays with this everyday.
He loves the drumsticks.
Kevin and Chelsi gave him some cute gloves.
He opened up a few presents on his birthday in the morning. He liked tearing the tissue paper.
He got a rubber duck that goes over the faucet. He says "duck, quack, quack."
He loves his new book and car. Thanks to all who came to his party and thanks for his presents. He really loves everything and plays with everything every day.

I can't believe he is one already. It seems like just yesterday he was born. I don't know where the time has gone. He is growing up too quickly. At is one year doctor visit he weighs 22 lbs. 3 oz. and is 31 in. tall. He's a big boy, but I wouldn't have it any other way.
